2009 NEWS!!
Dec 11-13/09 - Tanji wins BOB and a Group 1 and Group 3 at the Auld Lang Syne show out in Chilliwack, BC! Big thank you to US judges
Nancy Byrd for the Group 1 and Richard Byrd for the Group 3! What a way to finish off the 2009 show year!!
Nov 27-29/09 - Tanji wins BOB and 2 Group 4's at the Calgary Kennel Club shows! Thank you to judges Alvin Krause and Sandra Lex!!
This same weekend, at the same show, Faith wins a BOB and Group 2! Thank you to judge Bart Miller!!
Nov 20-22/09 - Faith had a great weekend winning 2 Group 2's and a Group 4 at the Lethbridge show and sister Tanji wins a Group 2 at
the Brandon show!
Big thank you to Neil Graves, Thora Brown and John Reeve-Newson for Faith's wins and to Fred Dewsbury for Tanji's win!!!
Nov 7/09 - Tanji wins Group 1st at the Red Deer show in a tough hound group! Big Thank You to judge Doug Gaudin!!
Nov 2/09 - Niall has a new name....he is now called "ONIX"! The kids re-named him as we already have a Niles in the house!!
Oct 30/09 - Niall returns home from Florida! Niall was one of many dogs badly neglected and abandoned by thier owner. Quick work by many
rescuers got the dogs to safety and placed back with breeders & in adoptive homes! Niall has a long road to heal the many physical wounds,
but is fitting in perfectly back at home with his family!!
Oct 10/09 - Tanji wins Group 1st at the Oakbank show! Thank you to Austrailian sighthound judge Erin Brown!!
Sept 25-27/09 - Tanji wins a Group 1, Group 2,, Group 3 and Group 4 at the Lloydminster shows! Big thank you to Judges Ainslie Mills,

July 24-26/09 - Faith had a great weekend at the Swift Current dog show winning Group 1st under judge Tim Doxater, Group 3 under judge
Don Emslie, Group 3 under judge Butch Macdonald & Group 4 under judge Cec Rinstrom!!
This same weekend out in Thunder Bay Ontario Tanji wins 2 Group 1st!! Thank you to judges Phyllis Pancel and Deborah Graffman! Dior
shown one day wins a Group 2 under judge Doug Gaudin for her last showing in Canada! Watch for her at select shows in the USA!!
July 18-19/09 - We went out to Surrey, BC and had a great time at the Sighthound Extravaganza! On Saturday Dior won BOB and Best In
Specialty at the Gazehound Specialty! BIG Thank you to judge Edna K. Martin from Illinois!! Then the next day she won another BISS at the
Ibizan Hound Specialty!! BIG Thank you to judge Jean Bateman from BC!! Later that day another BOB win at the BC Sighthound Club
Specialty!! And Big thank you to judge Stacy Davis from WA.
July 11/09 - Hunter (Amahte's Corsair JC) won a Group 4 at the Kenai Kennel Club in Alaska! Thank you judge Claire Steidel!
July 10-12/09 - Tanji had a great weekend in Calgary, AB at the EKKOC shows! She won 3 BOB's and a Group 2! Big thanks to judge Judy
Webb from Arizona for the Group 2 win! Dior also was there, but not entered at the all-breed shows. Dior went along for support but we also
decided to go for her CGN (Canine Good Neighbor) and she PASSED!! Yeah! So Dior now is a Grand Champion...the first in Canada for
an Ibizan!
July 3/09 - Dior had a great day the one day she was shown at the Portage show! Thank you to Mel Saranchuk for Dior's Group 2 win!! Dior
also won the Group 1st Classic Friday evening!! Big thank you to judges Sandy Alexander and Kim Hamel for this wonderful win!
June 26-28/09 - We made the trek to Thunder Bay, Ontario where Dior had a fabulous weekend winning 3 Group 1st, a Group 2 and 2
Group 4's!! Thank you to judges Thora Brown, Allan Brown & Sandy Alexander for the Group 1st, Elaine Whitney for the Group 2 and to Larry
Kereluke, Bob Whitney for the Group 4's!!
June 19-21/09 - Tanji and Dior head down to Montana for only 3 days of the circuit. Tanji won WB/BOW for a 3-point major and also a WB for
a 3-point major! Thank you to judges Elliott Weiss and Lowell Davis! Also, Dior wins BOB under judge Elliott Weiss and made the cut in group!
June 12 - Hunter makes the trip to Yukon shows and wins a Group 3rd owner handled! Thank you judge Ann Hennigan!
June 5-8/09 - Tanji wins the breed all 4 days of Edmonton show and also picks up a Group 3rd! Thank you to judge Shelley Hennessey!!
May 28-30/09 - Dior heads down to Fargo, ND and has a great weekend winning 2 Group 1st and a Group 2!! Thank you to judges Allan
Brown and Fred Dewsbury for the Group 1st and Allan Bennett for the Group 2!!! This makes Dior one of the top Ibizans in the US at the
moment!! Dior was owner breeder handled to her wins!!
May 24/09 - Tanji wins Group 2 under judge Kathleen Anderson Wulff at the Fort Garry Kennel Club show!!
May 18/09 - Tanji wins a Group 3 under judge Richard Lopaschuk at the RKOC shows!
May 17/09 - Faith has a great day coursing going 3rd in BIF and then going straight into the specialty ring and wins another BISS at the
Foothills Gazehound Lure Coursing Specialty! Thank you to judge Sharon Derrick!!
May 1-3/09 - At the Saskatoon, SK shows Tanji wins BOB all 3 days as well as a Group 2 and 2-Group 3's!! Thank you to judges Geraldine
Taylor, Elaine Whitney and Bob Whitney for rewarding Tanji on her debut in the specials ring !!
April 11 - 13/09 - Faith wins Group 1 & Group 3 at the Chilliwack, BC shows!! Thank you to judges Dr.Harry Smith and Dorothy Welsh!
April 3/09 - USA Ibizan Hound National (Glendale, Arizona) - Dior wins Award Of Merit!! Tanji wins her Bred-By class and goes on
to win Best Bred-By in Specialty show!!! Faith also wins the Open Bitch class and goes on to win RWB!! BIG Thank you to judge
Ed Gilbert!!
At the All-Breed show under judge Diane Malenfant, Dior wins Best of Breed!! Faith and Tanji again win their respective classes
and Faith goes on to win BOW for a 5-point major!! Big Thank-you to Ms. Malenfant!!!
March 29 - Dior wins Group 2 at the Camrose show - Big thanks to judge Guy Jeavons!!
March 6-8/09 - Dior wins 3 - Group 2's under judges Rick Fehler, Thora Brown and Allan Brown!! Group 3 under judge Butch MacDonald and
Group 4 under judge Cec Ringstrom!!!
Feb 13/09 - Dior wins Group 4 under judge Rita Walker at the Brandon show!
Jan 31/09 - Faith wins breed and Group 3 at the AKC show! Thanks to Judge Honey Glendenning!
2008 came to an end and for the 3rd year in a row Dior (at only just 3 years old) is #1 Ibizan Hound in Canada!! She also finished
#11 Hound in Canada and #75 All-Breed dog in Canada!! She had an amazing year winning the Canadian Ibizan National and also
an award of merit at the largest US Ibizan National! She won 3 more BIS and 17 Group 1st & broke breed records again this year!
Dior also made only a few US appearances and ended up #12 All-Breed Ibizan Hound in The United States!!
Thank you to Dior's handler Shannon Scheer for amazing presentation and top-notch care of our girl!!
Full sister Faith also had a wonderful year, in very limited showing, finishing #2 Ibizan in Canada with a RBIS win!! Big congrats!
Dior will take time off in 2009 to hopefully have a litter of puppies!!
