Nov 18/07 - Faith's page is updated with lots of new pictures!!
Nov 14/07 -- Year End....We are now all done showing for the year!! Dior was to go to a show this weekend, but had a small mishap which
resulted in some stitches....all is well and she is fine, but I won't show her that way so her year is offically over! And what a year she had. She
managed to stay as one of Canada's Top Ten hounds through the year and is #12 Ibizan in the USA showing only 3 times there! She should
also finish as #1 Ibizan in Canada for 2007 with her full sister Faith not too far behind her!
Now to re-coup and look forward to 2008!

Oct 7-8/07 - Dior wins a Group 2 and Group 3 at the Fort Garry show in Winnipeg, Manitoba!! Thank you to judges Pat Taylor and Linda

Sept 30/07 - Faith wins a Group 2 at the Lloydminster, SK dog show! Thank you judge Neil Graves!! Faith was owner-handled to her win!!
**Just recieved in the mail--Niles and Dior have both been invited to the Eukanuba Invitational held in Long Beach, California!!
Aug 24-26/07 - At the Shamrock Shows this weekend in Yorkton, SK Dior wins RESERVE BEST IN SHOW!! Thank you to judge Denise
Cornelssen for the Group 1 and the RBIS!! Dior also did very well the rest of the weekend winning another Group 1 (Thank you hound judge
Jan Buchanan) 2 Group 2's (Thank you to judges Chris Neilson and hound judge Susan Badick) a Group 3 (Thank you judge Judith Hunt), and
a Group 4 (Thank you judge Charles Hunt!)!!
Out in BC, Faith did super as well, winning a Group 3 under Australian judge Kay Eldred and a Group 4 under Argentinian judge Jacqueline
Quiros Kubat!!!

Aug 3-5/07 - Tanji wins the breed from the classes 2 of 3 days at the Bismarck , ND show! Tanji now has 2 points towards her American
championship!!
Tanji was shown by her 13 year old junior handler Keilan!
This same weekend Faith wins another BISS by winning the Foothills Gazehound specialty in Calgary at the big AKC show!! Thank you to
judge Richard Beauchamp of California!!
July 22-23/07 - Another great weekend for Amahte out in Surrey, BC for the Ibizan Hound Club of Canada National specialty and sighthound
specialties!! Dior kicked it off by winning BOB at the Gazehound specialty, Rave won BOS and BOW for a few more points towards his
championship (shown by jr. handler Draedon). Judge was Dr.Stephen Harper!!
The next day at the IHCC National Specialty, for the second year in a row, Faith won BOB shown by her owner Rose Young!! Rave was BOS
and BOW to finish his Canadian championship--shown by Draedon!! Judge was Don Emslie!
That same day was the Sighthound specialty and Tanji won BOB & Group 4 shown all the way by her junior handler Keilan Hozempa!!
Rave again was BOS and BOW!! Judge was Michael Canalizo!!
July 13-15/07 - The Amahte crew had an excellent weekend = On Friday, Faith wins BOB & GROUP 1 at the EKKOC show in Calgary, Alberta
under judge Dorothy Hutchinson!! Then again on Saturday Faith wins BOB and a GROUP 4 under Spanish judge Norman Corbett!! On
Sunday, Dior wins BOB and GROUP 2 under judge Heather Logan!! Rave took WD all 3 days for 3 more points and Tanji took BOW the first
2 days so now is a NEW Canadian Champion!! Tanji was moved up to specials for the Sunday. Tanji was shown by my 13 yr old son Keilan
all weekend (and pretty much for all her points) who is pretty proud of his new champion!!
July 6-8/07 - Faith starts the weekend out by winning GROUP 1 out in BC at the Vernon shows in a huge hound group!! Thank you judge David
Denis!! Dior out in Manitoba at the Portage show wins Group 2 under Dr.Lee Reasin and Group 1 under judge Thora Brown!!

May 9/07 - Just announced---Dior finished #1 Ibizan Hound in Canada for 2006!! This was all done as a puppy! Her half-brother Niles
finished 2nd in Canada with limited showing!!
May 2-6/07 - Dior wins Best in Sweepstakes at the US Ibizan Hound Nationals in Utah!! Thank-you to breeder/judge Peter Vivieros!!
Diors mom 'She' won Best Brood Bitch in Specialty and won Best Veteran Bitch in the sweeps! Dior's sister Tanji placed 2nd (to the WB) in a big
bred-by bitch class!!
At the all-breed shows Dior wins Best of Breed under judge Charles Trotter over the top US ibizans!! Dior made the cut in a very tough hound
group and made the cut in breed the other days! Tanji won her bred-by class 3/4 shows and 2nd the other day!!
April 13-14/07 - Dior wins 2 Group 2's at the Battleford Kennel Club show!! Thank you judges Rick Fehler and Don Fitzsimmons!!
Tanji and Rave also showed one day, they were shown by thier Junior handlers (Keilan and Draedon) and Tanji went BOW for another point!

Feb 24-25/07 - Dior wins Back-to-back BEST IN SHOWS!! Big Big thank yous to judges Guy Jeavons and Bruce Owen for the Group 1's
and the Best In Show wins!! This makes history for an Ibizan in Canada--Dior is the only Ibizan Hound bitch in Canada to ever win a Best In
Show and the only Ibizan in Canada to ever win back to back BIS!! This now also makes her the winningest Ibizan Hound in Canada's history!!
Jan 10-20/07 - We escaped the Canadian winter for a few weeks to go play down in Florida for the circuit!! On the trip went Niles and Dior.
We flew into Ft.Lauderdale and the first few days we spent sightseeing and hanging out on South Beach and down the Keys!! We then drove
threw the Everglades to the other side of the state for the shows. Day one was a warm-up for us all--we were all tired from the plane ride, the
sighseeing and drive across state, plus trying to get acclimatized to the heat (at home was -40 degrees and Florida a balmy 80 degrees--just a
mere 120 degree difference in temp!)
Day 2 was much improved! Niles won WD for his first major and Dior won WB and BOW for her 1st US points and her 1st major! Day 2 for
Dior was another WB and BOW for another 3 point major! The week continued for Niles winning a 4 point major and another 3 point major
to finish his US Championship!! Dior also continued her winning ways by taking 3 more WB/BOW for 3 and 4 point majors to finish her AKC
Championship!!! After moving Dior up to Specials she was pulled for breed the first day and then won the breed over top-ranked specials!!
But the winning did not stop there---The reason for my trip in the first place was to go down to pick up "EH" who is now called "RAVE". Rave
came back to me with 11 points and all he needed to finish his US Championship was win a 4-point major which he did the second day I
showed him!!
